Toggle Travel was named the 2026 Entrepreneur of the Year by the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), an honor presented this May at ASTA’s 2026 Travel Advisor Conference in San Diego. Co-founders Matthew Wade and Gabriel Gatete accepted the award on stage; co-founder Husain Boxwala unfortunately couldn’t make the trip, but we really wish he could have been there. Sponsored each year by the Dan and Gloria Bohan Foundation, the award and its $10,000 prize recognize the creativity, adaptability, and forward-thinking spirit moving the travel and hospitality industry forward.

All three co-founders are 23, making them the youngest team ever to receive the award. Toggle won just six months after launching. And none of that happens without the agencies that bet on Toggle.

Every agency we sat with was holding years of their own data with no real way to use it. We built Toggle to give that back to them, and hearing our name called at ASTA told us the whole industry feels that gap too.

Why this one means something

For years, agencies have been told their data is everything: the key to growing, to earning and protecting more commission, to streamlining how the whole operation runs. And it is. The problem is that most agencies have never actually been able to see it. The day-to-day is booking after booking, deep in the weeds, while the numbers that explain how the business is really doing stay just out of reach.

The answers were always there, sitting in years of reservations and commissions, but no one could get to them. That data lived inside back-office systems built for accounting, not for decisions, and agencies had no real technology to pull it out and make it useful. That is the gap Toggle was built to close. We take the data agencies have been sitting on and turn it into real-time insights, analytics, and reporting, so they can finally see their own numbers and use them to grow.

What it means to us

Entrepreneur of the Year is one of ASTA’s most established honors, given each year to the people moving the travel industry forward. Earning it is a challenge at any stage of a company’s life; earning it this early, and this young, made the achievement that much more meaningful. For us, the award is more than a trophy. It is validation that the problem we set out to solve matters, and a responsibility to keep proving it long after San Diego.

The first time I came to ASTA, I watched that year’s Entrepreneur of the Year and told myself I’d be up there soon. I didn’t expect “soon” to come this fast.

What that looks like for an agency

On top of the back office an agency already runs, Toggle turns that data into the things owners and advisors actually need:

From guesswork to real numbers

Ask most owners how the agency is doing and you’ll get last month’s revenue and a gut feeling. Toggle replaces both with a live view of the whole business. Owners can project the agency’s earnings and clean up their records, advisors can predict their own commissions and see exactly where they stand, all in real time. For the first time, an agency isn’t just sitting on its data, it’s running on it.

The nomination that started it

An award like this begins with someone willing to put your name forward. For us, that was Amanda Klimak and the team at Largay Travel, who nominated Toggle and stood behind us from the very start, long before there was much to point to. We are grateful for their belief in us early, and proud that Largay was part of getting us here.

To the agencies who got us here

More than anything, we’re grateful. Every agency that believed in Toggle, that gave a young company a chance and grew with us, is the reason we’re standing here today. This award belongs to you as much as it does to us, and we will never take that for granted. As a small thank-you, we’re extending our flat $35-per-seat pricing through the end of the season: every role, back office and advisor alike.

I couldn’t be in San Diego for this one, and there’s nowhere I’d have rather been than up there with the team. I’m so excited about what this means for us, and this is only the beginning.
